The Hartlepool Masonic Benevolent Association (HMBA) exists to support local causes and community initiatives throughout Hartlepool. It is the official charity of Freemasons in Hartlepool.
Through HMBA our Lodges and Chapters contribute to community endeavours, with the charity able to top up any acts of giving by Lodges and Chapters, meaning we donate even more to good causes. In some cases too donations can be further topped up by our friends at Durham Province.
Our acts of giving see us donate thousands of pounds every year to services in Hartlepool and further afield. Charity work is a fundamental part of Freemasonry, and we are delighted to be able to contribute for the greater good of all.
HMBA relies on donations from Lodges and Chapters, from local Freemasonry groups, as well as funding through member subscriptions and voluntary contributions from individuals.
