Heugh Lodge Nautical Night 2026 – Supporting Hartlepool RNLI

Heugh Lodge Nautical Night Returns in Support of Hartlepool RNLI

Members and guests are invited to set sail for an evening of fellowship, entertainment, and charitable support as Heugh Lodge No. 7773 relaunches its much-loved Nautical Night on 17th June.

The event, taking place following the Lodge meeting at Hartlepool Masonic Hall, will raise funds in support of Hartlepool RNLI, helping the volunteer lifeboat crews who dedicate themselves to saving lives at sea.

The evening will begin with a regular Lodge meeting, during which the Lodge will conduct its annual election of officers and pass Bro. Scott Gaiety to the Second Degree. Through a streamlined agenda, the Lodge hopes to conclude proceedings by approximately 8.30pm, allowing everyone to enjoy the evening’s celebrations.

Following the meeting, the dining area will once again be transformed with a nautical theme, continuing a tradition that has become a favourite among members over the years. Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the evening by wearing something nautical – whether that’s a sailor’s hat, striped shirt, or any maritime-inspired attire.

A fish and chip supper will be served, consisting of:

  • Fish and chips with mushy peas
  • Rum and raisin ice cream
  • Vanilla ice cream

The cost of the meal is £13 per person.

One of the highlights of this year’s relaunch is the addition of a professional sea shanty group, organised by Jake, who will provide live entertainment throughout the evening. While previous Nautical Nights have featured members singing from the famous sea shanty song sheets first prepared in 2001, attendees can still expect plenty of opportunities to join in and sing along.

Importantly, there is no charge for the entertainment, and those wishing to stay for the evening without dining are welcome to do so free of charge.

The event is expected to conclude between 10.15pm and 10.30pm.

While attendance at the Lodge meeting itself is restricted to Freemasons, members are encouraged to bring prospective candidates along to experience the social side of Freemasonry and enjoy the festivities afterwards.

With live music, great food, maritime traditions, and support for a truly worthwhile local cause, Heugh Lodge’s Nautical Night promises to be an evening not to be missed.
